Adolf Hitler Was A Terrible Man My purpose for choosing Adolf Hitler as my topic is to educate myself and others about what a horrible man he was. Adolf was the kind of man who acted before he thought. He was a very persuasive man who was able to convince the Nazis into thinking that this was the right thing for the Jews and the Germans. How could he kill someone for being themselves? Adolf Hitler was born on April 20, 1889 in Braunau am Inn, Austria. He was the son of an Austrian customs official, Alois Schickelgruber Hitler, and his third wife, a young peasant girl, Klara Poelz. As a child, Hitler was a resentful, unhappy boy. He was moody and was deeply hostile towards his strict father who felt Adolf was lazy. He was very attached to his hard-working mother who was a housewife. Hitler did well in school at the beginning, but his grades got worse as time went on. His father died from a lung hemorrhage when Adolf was only 14. Adolf felt there would be no more harsh words and no more arguing with his father, especially over his career choice. Hitler s father had wanted him to become a civil servant like himself, however, he had dreams of becoming a great artist. After his father’s death, he went to live at a boys boarding house where he was attended high school. He went to visit his mother on the weekends. After spending four years at the boarding school, he left school at the age of sixteen, without graduating, and dreams of becoming a painter.
